COMSA

[Communication Students Association]

          The department has started COMSA Communication Engineering Student Association  started in September-2009. It aims at providing platform to bring out the inner potential of students and to blossom it in a right path. COMSA conducts activities like Aptitude test, Group discussion, C & C++ contests, Technical tests and Panel discussion.Large numbers of students are motivated and take the benefit of this association. All the activities are conducted by the students themselves under the guidance of faculty coordinator.

 

 

FUNDAMAX

 

          Two days workshop on  BASIC ELECTRONICS ’ has been arranged for SE ETC students. The schedule includes lectures in  morning sessions and practical's in afternoon session. Prof. S.D Gokhale, Prof. Mrs. A. D.Kadage, Prof. P. C. Dhanawade and Prof.V. P. Parmane, Prof. A.R.Telepatil have contributed their knowledge in basics of the subject to students. The main purpose of workshop was to convey all fundamental concepts regarding electronics components and theory, as it is very useful at entrance stage of second year engineering.Mr. A. M Patil has looked   after the practical sessions. The workshop was free of cost and received overwhelming response from the students.  

 

 

SCHOLER STUDENTS’ FELICITATIONS

 

          To appreciate the efforts of students who scored the highest marks in various subjects, the department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering under COMSA, has organized the felicitation of the toppers. The toppers were felicitated by respective subject teachers.

 

ENIGMA

          Communication Students’ Association( COMSA) has successfully organized the student coordinated University Level event named as “Enigma” Under this, cluster of events were organized as Personality plus, LAN Gaming, Computer programming, debate competition, poster presentation. For these events, overwhelming response of about 400 students from university area has been received. The event was thoroughly conducted by third year ETC students with COMSA members from other classes. The winners of all events were appreciated at the end of the event.  

 

 

COMPUTER & NETWORKING WORKSHOP

 

          Mr. Nilesh Takale, ITneium, Sangli has conducted workshop on “Computer & networking”. The workshop started with the introduction of some basic concepts about internet, intranet, LAN, Ethernet, Lease line, Modem and TCP/IP. The session was then followed by detail study of Routers, IP address and types of IP addresses. Third Year Students understood how does router converts the data into packet and attaches the packets with particular IP & MAC addresses. This theoretical concepts was the experienced with help of simulator. 

 

FAREWELL FUNCTION

 

    As per tradition of ETC department, this year farewell function has been organized for the final year students on 30th March 2017. During this function final year students have shared their experiences, views and emotions regarding department, faculty facilities and friends. All these outgoing students were guided by Head of ETC department Prof. (Dr.) S. A. Patil. During his speech he expressed his views about future opportunities and challenges to be faced due to changing industrial needs and rapidly growing technologies.
    The campus placed students of ETC department were felicited by department head Dr. S. A. Patil and faculty members. To encourage involvement of the students in the project work and to appreciate the efforts taken by the students in successfully completing the project, every year “Best Project & Model Award” is presented. This year this prize has been grabbed by two project groups,
    1. Project entitled “Structural Health Monitoring Of A Cable Stayed Bridge Using Smart Sensor Technology” presented by Mr. Shailesh Todkar, Mr. Ajinkya Mali & Ms. Kishori S. Patil. This project is sponsored by Dr. Nano Inc., Ichalkaranji and completed under the guidance of Prof V. B. Sutar.  
    2. Project entitled “Hybrid (Solar And Wind) Energy Systems For Rural Electrification” presented by Mr. Om R. Nale, Mr. Gaurav A. Ghodake & Ms. Suvarna Khade. This project is completed under the guidance of Prof. V. B. Sutar.  
The students Mr. Omkar Kumbhar, Ms. Pranali Mali & Ms. Jyoti Kore were felicited for best paper entitled “3D printing on Textile fabric”, supported by Dr. V. Jayshree. Also felicitation of all COMSA coordinators is done during the event. As a token of love, final year students gifted a beautiful watch to ETC department. Congratulations to all..

 

 

PARENTS MEET

 

          To convey the detail procedure and requirements of the companies approaching for  placement and the efforts taken by the department and training placement cell, a parents’ meet was organized specially for the parents of third year on dated .The main objective of the meet was to convey the current scenario of    industries and their demands from the a aspiring students from placement point of view. In this meet Prof.G.S.Joshi (TPO.Engg.) delivered the presentation which includes information about no of companies approached for placement, no of students placed. This presentation also involves criteria's followed by companies for fulfilling their placement need. Vice Principal (academic) & Head of Electronics department Dr. (Mrs.) L. S. Admuthe & Head of ETC department Prof. (Dr.) S.A.Patil guided to the parents about activities related to placement cell and training programs to be conducted during vacation period. Both of them answered to the queries raised up by the parents.

        

 

 

TECHSYMPOSIUM 2K17

 

                             Institute had organized National Level Technical Event, “Techsymposium 2K17” on 17th Feb.. In this event two technical competitions named “Maker’s Fair (Project Competition)” and “Drishti (Poster competition)” were organized by Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department. ‘Smart city level transport system to reduce air pollution’ , ‘Digital solution system for the management of electronics wastes and evaluation of health hazards to humanities’, ‘Digital technology for decentralized water harvesting solutions for villages and urban areas’ were the themes for Poster Presentation Competition. Different innovative technical ideas in the form of hardware setup as a part of project were presented by the participants in Project Competition. More than 100 students from different Engineering Institute nationwide were participated in this mega event.
